I was going to post my Top 25 Favorite Films of 2007 today, but I’ve been spending 12 – 14 hours a day working on revising Cyndere’s Midnight, the sequel to Auralia’s Colors, and I still have a long way to go. As a result, there are a handful of important 2007 movies that I have yet to see and consider for the list.
So this year’s list will be postponed until next weekend. (And even that list will proably change in the coming month as I catch up with more heavy-hitters.)
But it’s already a difficult list to finish. 2007 was an extraordinary year. I have at least five films that I’d be happy to call my #1 pick of the year. And according to my good friend Steven Greydanus, I still haven’t seen one of the most essential movies.
But speaking of “Best of 2007″ lists, it’s been exciting to see some of most prolific bloggers on the subject of Fantasy Literature publish their favorites lists.
Check these out!

I’m sure There Will Be Blood will be one of my favorites of the year when I see it. I was shocked that it didn’t make Ebert’s list, but I haven’t seen a review of it from him yet.
I was looking at his list the other day and can now understand why he picks Juno as his favorite. He talks about it being one of those “unforgettable communal moviegoing experiences, when strangers are united in delight.” So true. I thought the script was perfect as well.
are you allowed to tell us which flick SDG was referring to?
