This has been making the blog-rounds for several days now, but I thought David Mamet’s lengthy confession of a change in heart, and mind, was interesting: “Why I Am No Longer a Brain-Dead Liberal.”
And please, before anybody writes me an angry comment: Sharing a link is not an act of political activism. I’m a fan of Mamet’s work, so I thought this article was interesting, and I thought you might too.

An “angry comment”? I couldn’t be more thrilled. Mamet’s essay is awesome (besides, he uses more commas than any writer on earth). And that his argument / change of heart would pivot on the nature of human beings (good or bad?) is fascinating. Couple this with your link to “Angelina Jolie in Iraq,” and I’m beginning to wonder if a new ideological wind isn’t blowing.
