Mel Gibson returns to acting
April 29, 2008 by Jeffrey Overstreet
Edge of Darkness is about an angry man on a crusade against bad guys who killed one of his family members (his daughter, in this case).
So of course… it stars Mel Gibson.
Martin Campbell will direct this story for the second time. He directed a BBC miniseries version in the mid-80s, but this new, big-screen version will be scripted by William “The Departed” Monohan.

Good ol’ Mel and his “You Touched My Stuff!” fetish. I’ll probably see it though.
Good to see Mr Gibson is trying new things.
Next year he teams up with Harrison Ford in Firewall 2: Doing It For My Family; Eddie Izzard is rumored to be in the running to play the heavy, a Planned Parenthood mogul who pulls his opponents apart “like warm bread”.
1.) Braveheart 1
2.) Braveheart 2: The Patriot
3.) Braveheart 3: The Gladiator (Mell must have been a silent partner)
4.) Braveheart 4: The Passion
5.) Braveheart 5: Apacalypto
6.) Braveheart 6: Edge of Darkness
Formula: Take a historical event or figure(s), hack them up till they consist of heroifications, Fox News talking points, extreame violence, and hisorical innacuracies best decribed as lies.
Plot: Some are pure good, some are pure evil. Evil do bad, good are perfect and then go on to win they day through violence.
Tack on a “based on true story,” title and walla: A Mel Movie!
Wait, what’s the movie title again? “Courageous Ticker”? And let me guess - the character’s name will be Wallace William…
