Battlestar Galactica prequel drawing a talented cast

The Hollywood Reporter reveals three of the actors playing major roles in Caprica, the upcoming Battlestar Galactica prequel-series on the SciFi Channel…
I’m excited about two of these announcements. The third, well, I’m just not familiar with her.
First, Eric Stoltz, an excellent actor who deserves leading roles in challenging productions like this. He’s playing “Daniel Graystone, a wealthy computer engineer who, after an emotionally crippling family tragedy, uses his technological wizardry to forever change the future of Caprica.”
And Frances Fisher, who is always memorable, even in minor roles. Here, she’s cast in a role that sounds like it was crafted for Tilda Swinton: “Samantha Thorne, aka ‘the Fixer,’ a corporate titan who is brought in to clean up Global Dynamics.”
Then there’s Alessandra Toressani, playing Graystone’s daughter.
I trust the Battlestar gang a great deal. Can’t wait to see the series.

I too am excited about finding out the cast of Caprica. While I have no idea who Alessandra Toressani is, she does have some nice assonance in her name.
However, according to the article, Frances Fisher was actually hired for a role on a different show…leaving room for Tilda Swinton to join Caprica.
I’m just glad they got the actor from La Bamba. Not only is a good actor, he’s handsome.
